What attracted you to working in healthcare?
I originally started on the pre-med track in college, but as it turned out I really couldn’t get past two weeks of Organic Chemistry. My $500 book for that course quickly turned into a TV stand, and I switched my major to Health Services. I really enjoy healthcare, but the clinical side just wasn’t a good fit for me. Ultimately, it all worked out and I’m happy to have found CarePort.
What kinds of things do you do in your role on the implementation team?
I wear a lot of hats! I’ve been here for a while – 2.5 years – and my role has definitely evolved over time. As Customer Success Manager, my main responsibilities include ensuring that client implementations of CarePort solutions run smoothly, managing our ongoing relationships with clients and serving as a resource for clients and team members if they have any questions.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy most?
I love my team here, and we have a lot of fun. Every day, I look forward to working with people across the office to solve problems and make our customers happy. Everyone who works in the Boston office knows I’m a bit of a social butterfly, and I enjoy coming into the office in the morning to socialize with my team and the rest of the office
If you could switch your job with anyone else at CarePort for a day, whose job would you want and why?
As a member of the implementation team, it’s always interesting to learn customer pain points and how we can help them. Because of that, I think it would be interesting to be on the sales team, and to sit in on a sale and learn what kinds of gaps customers are trying to fill with CarePort’s solutions. If I were on the sales team, I also think I would enjoy building relationships with clients earlier in the process than I do in my current role.
People would be surprised if they knew:
For some reason, people are usually surprised to learn that I’m a twin. Otherwise, I’m pretty unfiltered. I’m not sure there’s much people don’t know about me, and I actually feel like they might know too much!
What’s your claim to fame?
I like to think that I have an amazing attention span because I have the unique ability to watch a lot of TV in a short period of time. I’ve never understood people who say they don’t watch a lot of TV – it makes me wonder what they’re doing with all of their spare time! People at CarePort have definitely influenced what I watch. I just finished watching Succession on HBO because it came highly recommended from coworkers. I watched both seasons within a few days!
