CarePort’s new digs: come grow with us

The CarePort team grew like crazy in 2017, and we expect to double our team in 2018. That’s one reason we are so excited about our brand new office in downtown Boston’s historic Leather District. Last week, we packed up our crammed quarters and moved across the street to a custom-designed space. At more than three times the size, there’s plenty of room for us to spread out and continue to grow here.

The office has an open floor plan and is designed for free-flow movement. There are many places to work besides an assigned desk, with several informal spaces perfect for impromptu meetings in addition to the conference rooms. There’s a set of high-top tables at the front where anyone can work. There are also a couple of small seating areas throughout the space. No one is sitting in an office behind a door – everyone on the leadership team, including our founder Dr. Lissy Hu, sits in the open space and is accessible to the team. Best of all, we have a beautiful new kitchen, complete with a high-top bar, a comfy lounging area, and natural light streaming in through the windows.

For those of us who remember when all the members of the team could be counted on two hands, the office move marks a major milestone. More than just a furniture upgrade, the new space was designed to reflect the CarePort culture, which remains unchanged since the early days. We pride ourselves on being collaborative, fast-paced, independent thinkers. As our COO Marc Camm often says, we have a bias toward action, and this new office was designed to be conducive to grabbing someone spontaneously, or even a couple of people, and setting up camp to work through a problem or brainstorm a new idea.

Like what you’re hearing about the CarePort culture? Come join us – we’re hiring across several teams and we’d love to talk to you.
